Nutrition Outside of the Box!

As I’ve been rolling out my new wellness programs, I realize you might have some questions about my views as your Certified Nutrition Consultant (CNC). So today I’ll be sharing with you some of my perspectives around the work that I do from a nutritional standpoint.

I am continually educating myself on the systems, programs and beliefs that are out there and I tend to take a very basic foundational approach. There are SO many ways to walk your path of health. At the end of the day, the most important thing is that you find and do what works for you to bring you to your optimal place of health and vitality. 

I am an advocate for you becoming your own health advocate. 
I believe that you should find the right doctors for your needs, and that you should build a relationship with them that supports whatever healing path you’re on. 

I believe that you can utilize certain testing to support getting the answers that help you find direction, and then use that information to do the research on your own to find what feels best for you, and to find the best possible methods to help you heal.

What works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for the next, so there is no one size fits all. My passion and purpose is to help guide and support you in finding what works for you. 

I do not believe that everyone should be paleo.
I do not believe that everyone should be keto.
I do not believe that everyone should be vegan.
I do not believe that everyone should eat meat.

I do not believe that everyone should follow a strict set of rules, unless they have specific health conditions that call for it, or it serves them in feeling better and meeting their goals of health. 

I do believe that everyone should eat more fruits and vegetables. A LOT more. 

I do believe that some people should not eat meat, but should definitely find the right way to still be properly nourished.

I do believe that some people should eat meat, and that should be coupled with a LOT of fruits and vegetables. 

I do believe that people should be eating more fruit. A LOT more. 

I do believe that a certain amount of supplementation is extremely beneficial given the quality of our soil, the environment, and the travel and processing that our food endures just to get to our kitchens. 

I do believe that different people need different things at different times in their lives and that we should learn to ebb and flow with those bodily and lifestyle changes. 

I do believe that there are ways to follow a lifestyle that is supportive of our individual health along with the health of our environment.
