Exposed Day 13, No More Playing Small

There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living. ~Nelson Mandela

This is a motto that I’m keeping at the forefront for myself right now. However, my idea about what this means to me has evolved quite a bit over the last couple of years.

I used to have this grandiose vision about saving the world, but that felt really overwhelming.

I’m not here to save the whole world. I’m here to make a dent in my little part of it.

I’m here to do things differently than those that came before me

And I have

But there’s more.

It started with my kids and now trickles out to women.

And how big that circle gets isn’t necessarily up to me, but the Powers that be.

And what I know is that I’m ready to find out…

So I’m declaring that 2023 is the time to bring some things to fruition that I’ve been working on for a long time.

When I play small those things get pushed to the back burner and I have all of these great reasons and excuses for why I can’t get to them.

But these things (health, nutrition, writing and women, to name a few) are my passions and if I’m not serving those then my life feels small.

And although this 30 day #exposeyourtruth challenge is going to take me a little longer than 30 days (because sometimes that’s how life goes and that’s ok!), this is my reminder for why I’m doing this in the first place

Because I’ve got work to do and it starts with taking the actions and doing the things that align with and expose who I am and why I’m here.

Now it’s your turn-

what are the things that you’ve let go or stopped doing that you KNOW you are here to do?

What is the life that is calling you that you’ve let go because it feels too big or you feel like not enough?

What are the reasons or things that you keep letting get in your way?

What are the fears?

We’re only here for a little while, my friends..

Isn’t it time?

xoxo,

Mimi
